Refuse Collection
Changes to Residential & Commercial (non-dumpster) Trash Services - Effective July 1st
In June of 2022, Public Works presented to Town Council a proposal to update our trash collection process for many different reasons. This new process will improve the look of town on trash collection day, by providing carts to all residents. Residents would not have loose trash bags out for collection. Our new trash trucks will have a "tipper" system that will eliminate workers from lifting the trash cans.
Since receiving approval by Town Council, we have worked to implement a totally new trash collection system. This new system will be a learning curve for everyone, we ask for your patience during the implementation.
Beginning July 1, 2024, these changes will be implemented. Residents can expect the distribution of the trash carts the 3rd or 4th week of June.
Important information you need to know about the new trash service can be found here.
