The Town of Orange Refuse Collection runs from Monday to Friday. Check the refuse collection schedule for more information.
The Town of Orange also collects brush and yard debris on the first Wednesday of each month. Please call the Public Works Department if you have a considerable amount and note the collection rules for brush. Because of the nature of our responsibilities, we may not be able to collect the brush on that certain day, but will make every effort to collect it at our earliest convenience.
There are recycle bins for recyclables located behind Pro Auto Body on Route 15 South within the Town of Orange limits. A special thanks to Mr. David Rutt for allowing the Town to have a place to rest our recycle bins.
In the case of a holiday or inclement weather, refuse collection will be delayed by one day. For instance, if your regular refuse pick-up day is on Monday and a holiday falls on the weekend or on that Monday, your collection will be moved to Tuesday.
Refuse must be out on the very edge of your curb or designated collection space no earlier than 5 p.m. the evening before your collection day and no later than 7:30 a.m. on your collection day. All items for pickup must be in the right of way. Town of Orange employees are not allowed to enter private property.

Clean-Up Weeks occur during the spring (the first two weeks of April) and the fall (the first two weeks in October). Refuse collection may be suspended due to extreme inclement weather at the discretion of the Director of Public Works or the Foreman of the Streets and Refuse Department.
